CCIB Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations Program

Rise provides advisory services to organizations seeking certification through the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) Program. Established in 2001, the CCIB PAIR Program includes an online management and reporting tool that supports participating companies’ efforts towards progressive improvement in Indigenous relations and confirms corporate performance in Indigenous relations at the bronze, silver, or gold level. Organizations of all sizes and sectors are encouraged to seek certification through the CCIB PAIR Program.

The CCIB PAIR Program provides a high level of assurance through the independent, third-party verification of company reports on measurable outcomes and initiatives in four performance areas:

  • Leadership Actions
  • Employment
  • Business Development
  • Community Relations (Engagement and Support)

Over the four-year CCIB PAIR certification journey, our core focus is to help our clients open and nurture relationships with Indigenous Peoples, communities and organizations — guided by Elders’ teachings about the six R’s: Relevance, Responsibility, Reciprocity, Reverence and Relationship.

Our integrated approach engages teams across departments, working groups, and leadership to ensure each criterion is met and embedded into core strategies. In the first year, we deliver seven tailored sessions from the Rise Learning and Development Program and assess the organization’s current practices, gather employee feedback, and co-develop a roadmap aligned with program criteria. In the final phases (Phases II, III and IV), we assist with implementing lasting changes to build the business case, gather resources and secure budgets to enhance internal practices, policies and long-term strategies.
